Pool Attendant

As a Pool Attendant at Alyeska Resort, you play a vital role in ensuring a pleasant and safe experience for our guests in our fitness center and pool areas. Your professionalism, respect for guest privacy, and dedication to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment are critical in this role.

Position Responsibilities

  • Welcome arriving guests warmly, providing guidance on facilities and services.
  • Distribute towels and locks to guests and collect soiled towels for laundering.
  • Ensure the enforcement of health and safety rules in the fitness center and pool areas.
  • Maintain cleanliness by cleaning equipment at least twice per shift, emptying trash cans, and stocking dispensers at least twice per shift.
  • Keep fitness center and surrounding areas free of litter by picking up rubbish.
  • Hose pool decks and perform regular maintenance tasks in all pool areas.
  • Conduct regular patrols of locker rooms throughout your shift.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas as needed.
  • Checking in and making reservations for 587 Club members and hotel guests
  • Ensuring the occupancy of the pool area does not exceed the occupancy limit set by the local fire code
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skill and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical capability to lift, stand, push, pull, and bend as required to meet job demands.
  • Prior experience working with the public or operating fitness equipment is advantageous, but we also consider a combination of training and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Personal discretion, respect for guest privacy, and professionalism are fundamental qualities for success in this role.
  • Flexibility to accommodate a varied work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
