This role is perfect for someone looking to begin their career in HR within a nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). As an HR Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth HR operations and contribute to fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:- Support HR team administratively- Assist with the recruitment process- Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities.- Maintain employee records and ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and filed.- Support HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives, benefits administration, and performance management.- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs as directed - Assist with organizing HR events, training sessions, and meetings.- Other duties as assigned
Requirements- Experience working in an administrative role - Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).- Prior internship or work experience in HR is a plus.
