Description

This is a ground floor opportunity to create the sales division of an established, 30-year-old company operating in start-up mode. Join a group of dedicated, highly customer-service-oriented professionals in creating the next wave of growth. You will be promoting robust, highly competitive software with unmatched functionality, that supports warehouses and 3PL providers to grow and better serve their customers.


The role of Business Development Executive will actively generate new business and convert prospects into customers. This role will support the growth of our Warehouse Management Software company through continuous addition of new client sales. The opportunity for advancement is great in this growing, dynamic industry.


Applicant Requirements

  • 5+ Years of experience in selling WMS software
  • Existing network of Supply Chain and Warehousing Professionals
  • Physically located in Dallas, Texas
  • Travel required

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell products/services to prospective customers
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospects
  • Meet or exceed predetermined sales goals quarterly
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from prospective customers (phone, email, and web)
  • Analyze the needs of potential customers and present appropriate solutions
  • Work closely with Marketing to define target segments, messaging and identify trends
  • Attend industry conferences
  • Develop sales strategies that support sales goals
  • Develop solid sales pitch
  • Collaborate with team members across departments in support of sales efforts
  • Provide management with reports on pipeline, goals, competitive activities, and market feedback

Qualifications

  • Proven track record as a Sales Representative
  • Highly motivated, generative, and target driven
  • Ability to conduct research on companies and prospects
  • Ability to connect prospective clients' needs with product and service offerings
  • Strong relationship building and management skills
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Warehouse and Logistics Industry preferred
  • Experience selling software preferred
  • Leverage CRM tools to prospect into specific geographic territories and sectors
