The territory to be covered includes the New York - New Jersey - Pennsylvania areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement tactical plans with strategic account and buying group partners to assure maximum long-term penetration consistent with the overall Walter strategy. Tailor strategies to align with corporate sales and marketing strategies, and lead the implementation of such strategies with the Walter sales team.

Build and execute plans for new account business development and achieve strategic account and buying group partner goals for sales & market share.

Cultivate and profitably grow strategic account and buying group customer base; foster and develop strong multi-level and senior-level business relationships.

Develop programs and solutions to win new business and support company and product line objectives to develop new and maintain current business.

Work with Walter Regional Sales Directors and Territory Managers to execute strategic account and buying group programs and deliver growth year over year.

Participate in the annual National Sales Meeting, Road Show and any additional sales team meetings, as well as regional, national, and international trade shows, conferences, customer events, and distributor sales meetings.

Develop effective communication and working relationships with the strategic account teams in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Document all activities into the company CRM database. Track and measure strategic account and buying group partner activity.

Submit expense reports and required reporting forms in a timely manner.

Regular and dependable attendance in line with company business hours and policy is an essential requirement of this position.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in sales or marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.

5-8 years’ experience of progressive sales management and strategic account management experience.

Strong relationship management skills.

Consultative, problem-solving selling approach.

Industrial distributor and end-user experience a plus.

Experience working with Industrial distributors (i.e. Grainger, Kaman, Motion, BDI, etc.) national account teams a plus.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.

Must be willing and capable of acquiring the knowledge and technical expertise necessary to promote Walter products.

Able to travel cost effectively as much as 50% of the time, including overnight travel.
