Position Summary/Purpose:

Metro Services Groups is a comprehensive improvement services company that has successfully completed a wide-range of projects for over 25 years. Our experienced team of in-house contractors work with commercial and residential customers to develop and implement long-term solutions tailored to their specific needs and budget and protect your investments for years to come. We consider our employees an investment, and every in-house contractor receives up-to-date training and often completes extra certifications in their area of expertise.

Play a pivotal role in shaping the growth of Metro Services Group. This role is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new contracts within the Concrete, Landscaping and Capital Improvements space. The Director of Business Development will identify and develop new business opportunities, build relationships with customers, and partners, evaluate existing contracts and sales efforts with an eye toward process improvement. This individual will also be responsible for participating in networking and attending social events on behalf of the company as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads through networking, market research, cold calling, attending industry events, and targeted outreach within the local commercial real estate market.
  • Strategic Sales: Understand client needs and develop customized proposals that showcase our company's comprehensive services and value proposition.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with potential clients. Partner with the Director of Operations to grow revenue and execute business strategies.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Skillfully negotiate and close new contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate sales records, update your pipeline, and provide regular forecasts to management.
  • Market Expertise: Stay informed about local market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes.
  • Recruitment: Be the liaison for Metro on all hiring and recruiting needs, schedule and conduct interviews and work with Talent Acquisition o offers, onboarding etc.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree: Business, Marketing, Construction, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of proven success in B2B sales, ideally in commercial landscaping, construction, or a related industry.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Negotiation & Persuasion: Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Self-Starter: Entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, and a high level of motivation.
  • Local Knowledge (Bonus): Familiarity with the local commercial real estate market and regional landscaping trends.
