JOB SUMMARY


The Human Resource Generalist performs human resources-related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, recruiting and benefits.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws and standards
  • Performs staffing duties including maintaining temporary staffing as necessary, creating, organizing and facilitating the interviewing process to place the most qualified candidates, creating offer letters, and facilitating the on-boarding process which includes but is not limited to the scheduling and execution of the new hire orientation process.
  • Manages the job-posting program including posting/removal of the open position.
    • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions)
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Maintains personnel files
    • Ensures compliance with USCIS for I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
    • Updates, monitors and maintains eligible pay adjustments/increases based on pay increments.
  • Develops and executes the performance management system for exempt and non-exempt staff.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Makes fair and consistent decisions based on legal and company policies.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area for safe operation as well as customer presentation.
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines, and uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) preventing incidents or injury to self or others.
  • Participates in and supports the principles of Open Book Management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES


  • Good interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent knowledge of SRC benefits programs including Insurance Plans, 401(k), and ESOP.
  • Possesses oral and written communication skills are required in order to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Excellent computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project skills preferred.
  • Must be willing to expand on knowledge and abilities as needed.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • One (1) to three (3) years of human resources experience is required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
