Hours: Approximately 5-10 hours per week.

Duration: Fall 2024 Term (with a possibility to extend) Start date: Early/mid September

Duties:

The Social Media Assistant will work with the Marketing Content Strategist & Social Media Team to strategize, capture and create content with an emphasis on Tik Tok. We are looking for someone who is creative, familiar with social media, willing to learn new things, and able to be on campus occasionally to film content. The Social Media Assistant will help identify trends and brainstorm content ideas that specifically related to their program.

Expectations:

  • Conceptualize, create and publish 1-2 TikTok videos per week
  • Attend a monthly in person meeting/filming session (scheduling flexible)
  • Weekly virtual check-ins
  • Occasional event coverage (film inside classrooms, interview students, cover student events, participate in video shoots, etc)

Requirements:

  • Current NWHSU student
  • Comfortable in front of and behind a camera (the assistant will be featured in social content regularly as well as create content behind the scenes)
  • Self-motivated and self-starter
  • Creative mindset
  • Ability to collaborate with a team Good communicator
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
  • Experience in graphic design, social media management, and video creation/editing preferred
