Claims Data Specialist

Function
As a Claims Data Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the CRM Events database and assisting the Claims Manager to achieve departmental goals for distributing timely, accurate reports as scheduled and upon request. The Claims Data Specialist is a key partner in day-to-day claims tasks and has knowledge of claims functions and the ability to detect omissions or errors. The Claim Data Specialist contributes to Claim projects and departmental goals as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintains CRM Event reporting database with Claims and Safety data updated from phone and email contacts with multiple internal and external sources.
- Reports new claims to insurers via website submission or phone within 48 hours of receipt; uploads supporting documents to insurer and CRM Event reporting Database; requests/updates and maintains event party and event vehicle claim accuracy.
- Builds reports according to provided specifications. Utilizes CRM database to generate reports as scheduled.
- Maintains accuracy of financial transactions into the CRM Event Reporting Database; reconciles claim invoice statements and assists with purchase order processing as needed.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for Claims CRM Powerapp reporting.
- Assists with development of Claim Reference and Training materials
- Uses a diary system to review claims in the CRM Event database and moves claims toward resolution when assigned. Contacts may include managers, vendors, insurance adjusters and others.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-3 years’ experience in claims handling or customer service
Skills/Knowledge
- Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other database experience
