What You'll Do...

  • Remotely manage and support network systems, user computers, telephones, printers and software.
  • Remotely and proactively manage and maintain server, network, and firewall systems
  • Azure AD/O365/Exchange online administration
  • Administrate Spam/Phishing Block/Allow Lists
  • Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, routers and other physical hardware
  • Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues
  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure emergencies as well as off-hour maintenance
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected
  • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance
  • Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users
  • Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation

What's Needed to Succeed...

  • Able to perform tasks in a logical manner to minimize risk to systems while achieving successful goals.
  • One industry certification (Net+, CCNA) (CCNP, CCIE).
  • Must understand network TCP/IP, switch configurations and firewall settings.
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, LDAP
  • 3-5 years of networking experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Azure support experience.
  • 2+ years of Cisco/Meraki experience. Familiarity with cloud based support utility.
  • Operational knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization; Network and routing protocols; Windows Server and Azure Active Directory; Switch configuration and programming.
  • Intermediate PowerShell experience.
  • Familiarity with ZenDesk or other Ticketing platforms.
  • Experience working remotely from equipment and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Ability to self-manage multiple priority tasks and keep senior leadership informed of status.
  • Ability to independently install software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputers.
  • Familiarity with a variety of networking and personal computer software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on servers, computers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Ability to communicate information to end users, colleagues, and senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability and desire to work as a member of a team and as a team of one.
  • Experience with mobile device management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune
