What We Are Looking For

The QI Analyst will work with the Quality Outcomes Manager as well as the Medical Director for Quality to anchor the Quality Improvement Project process at SAC Health. The QI Analyst will be involved in analysis and selection of potential projects, as well as administration, implementation, and analysis of project data. This position will also collaborate with clinical counterparts to facilitate spread of successful project ideas.

Schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm | Location: Hospitality Lane Administrative Offices, San Bernardino, CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES

  • Works with the Quality Outcomes Manager and Medical Director of Quality to establish quality improvement champions and teams utilizing quality tools, data analysis and evidence-based protocols.
  • Organize the Quality Improvement Project Committee quarterly meeting and prepare a quarterly QI project report for the SAC Board.
  • Participate in the SPARC (Special Projects and Research Committee) and help to analyze potential QI projects for congruence with SAC Health Quality priorities.
  • The QI analyst is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and improving the process of administering quality improvement projects at SAC Health.
  • This position develops, implements and maintains plans to achieve optimal quality improvement projects.
  • Promotes effective communication and collaboration with nursing and other healthcare team members for ongoing successful QI project implementation and completion.
  • Develops and maintains a quality improvement project management database.
  • Facilitate spread of successful QI project concepts across the clinic system after successful completion and analysis of projects.
  • Receive and research all QI projects that are assigned, provide a summary and recommendations to the Medical Director of QI Projects.
  • Complete data entry into database systems, maintain updated documentation and other tracking mechanisms for all projects.
  • Review and execute ad hoc requests, quality projects, and process standardization as requested.
  • Complete other tasks and assignments based on department and business needs.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to travel to other clinics as necessary; must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing RN/BSN required.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse license required. Valid California driver's license, and auto insurance. As a requirement of this position, you must receive EPIC certification for the module you have been hired into.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in Quality Improvement required.
  • Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal Skills: Professional and strong communication skills, organized, engaging and proactive.
  • Essential Mental Abilities: Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.
  • Work Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Must not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visas.
