Job Description

In this Outreach and Engagement Specialist role, you will be an integral part of the Operational team, responsible for greeting clients upon entering the building to determine customer needs and appropriate referral to staff.

This is a critical role in that you will be responsible for the first impression of the center, initial assessment of job seeker needs, overview of career center services, and directing the job seeker to the right service quickly.  In this role you will:

  • Provide job seekers with social service referrals
  • Provide assistance in the resource room as needed with a special focus on encouraging and empowering job seekers to utilize self-help resources 
  • Collect documentation and verify information needed for employment/education services
  • Conduct exit interviews to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Generate statistical reports
  • Conduct morning meetings with staff to communicate activities and events
  • Conduct outreach to increase traffic in the center
Qualifications

You are a self-motivated and flexible team player. You consider yourself to have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. You're driven and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in your customer service background and are familiar working with commonly used job search websites and resources. You enjoy making connections with others both in-person and over the phone. You have a bachelor's degree or higher and two (2) years of experience providing career or related services and are ready to make an impact.   Want to stick out above the rest?
