Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for the technical college.
  • Generate content for various marketing communications, including presentations, promotional materials, newsletters, articles, and social media platforms.
  • Capture photographs and compose press releases for distribution to local media outlets.
  • Create engaging text for brochures, flyers, annual reports, advertisements, and other marketing collateral.
  • Update and maintain content on the college's website.
  • Manage the college's social media presence effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to prepare speeches, presentations, and other necessary materials.
  • Support media outreach efforts.
  • Review and edit all marketing communications for clarity and accuracy.
  • Ensure all content is fact-checked and published in a timely manner.
  • Assist with various tasks and projects within the Communications Department as required.
Required Competencies:
  • Understanding of public relations principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in English grammar, research methodologies, and communication theories.
  • Familiarity with the technical college educational framework.
  • Knowledge of ADA compliance in material production.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Capability to present diverse informational and promotional materials.
  • Skill in writing for interactive purposes.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in marketing communications writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in marketing and communications within an educational institution.
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary will be determined based on education and experience. Benefits include state holidays, annual leave, sick leave, State of Georgia Retirement, and a Health and Flexible Benefits Program.
