Opportunity Bank of Montana is adding to our outstanding team with a Mortgage Post Closing Supervisor. As our Post Closing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the mortgage loan shipping team, to ensure that all loan deliveries are assembled and delivered accurately, timely and in accordance with established policies and procedures:

  • Uphold the mission and values of Opportunity Bank of Montana.
  • Empowering employees to continually excel in quality loan delivery and teamwork.
  • Manage the activities of the mortgage post-closing team in selecting, orienting, training, coaching and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; appraising job contributions and recommending compensation actions.
  • Develop loan post closers to ensure accurate and timely purchase and/or securitization of all funded loans by investors and the handling and daily management of any related suspense items or conditions; ensure loans are correctly allocated, delivered, reviewed, and cleared with investors service levels, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Serve as first point of contact for post closers.
  • Work with Mortgage Operations Manager to meet loan operational standards by monitoring production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; identifying and recommending mortgage loan system improvements.
  • Foster communication, positive attitudes, professionalism, and a team environment among post closers and with other departments and create a team environment.
  • Assist Loan Servicing and Loss Mitigation department in reviewing repurchase requests.
  • Adhere to all applicable compliance regulations and provide direction to fix discrepancies as needed, review accuracy of loan data, documents, and fees.
  • Handle the most complex loan scenarios and customer issues.
  • Perform daily duties of a Post Closer and team members during their absence and as necessary.
  • Update job knowledge and leadership skills by participating in educational opportunities provided by the Bank.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

4-year college degree (accounting, business, finance, management or related) and 2 years' mortgage loan processing experience - or equivalent combination of education & experience

Knowledge of mortgage loan documents, disclosures, compliance, regulations, and loan process using loan origination system

Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA and conventional loan delivery standards


Education and Experience Preferences

3-5 years progressively responsible leadership in staff training and supervision Encompass Mortgage software experience
