This position entails the examination of a lender's corrective actions following an evaluation of origination procedures for Conventional (FNMA) loans on behalf of our client. The evaluator will analyze the remediation efforts related to issues identified by our client during the assessment of the lender's origination channels, underwriting and appraisal practices, quality control initiatives, secondary marketing, and loan closing processes (both post-close and pre-funding). A thorough review of the lender's remediation of identified issues will be conducted using the documentation and responses provided by the lenders, including written explanations and remediation plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with lenders to discuss findings and remediation efforts on behalf of our client through various communication channels.
  • Oversee timelines for the lender's completion of remediation tasks.
  • Collaborate with the client to evaluate the adequacy of remediation plans, ensuring they address outstanding issues in accordance with client protocols.
  • Escalate inquiries to management as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of time spent on evaluations.
  • Possess a minimum of five years of relevant mortgage origination experience.
  • Meet production quality and service standards consistently.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform team leadership and quality control duties in collaboration with the client, focusing on performance, production, and quality metrics.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A college degree or training in Finance or mortgage banking is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 8+ years of industry-related experience, including a minimum of 2+ years in an AVP-level role or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and reliability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Exhibit professionalism and teamwork, being punctual and dependable.
  • Engage directly with lenders and clients for review processes.
