We are seeking a candidate with experience with office /clerical skills that can also function as a CNA / Home Health Aide on-call float as needed.


POSITION SUMMARY - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Provides clerical support including typing correspondence, reports, and documents; maintaining filing systems; and coordinating daily interoffice activities.

Oversees caregiver recruitment, screening, hiring, and retention. Coordinates with the RN to administer testing of the caregivers and set up skills assessments.

Assist Administration with caregiver schedule adjustments, client correspondence.

Participates in quarterly quality assurance reviews, team meetings, and training events.

On call requirements to be included in the rotation for after hours calls.

Be accessible via phone apps required by the agency conduct day to day operations.

POSITION SUMMARY - HOME HEALTH AIDE

What youll be doing:

  • Assist with daily activities to help clients stay independent and in their own homes.
  • Provide assistance with personal care.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers and range of motion exercises.
  • Handle meal planning, preparation and feeding.
  • Properly manage household needs.
  • Provide companionship and respite services for the family.
REPORTS TO: Administrator & Alternate Administrator

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school graduate; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in a business setting, health care preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Speak, Comprehend Spanish a Plus
  • Demonstrated strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
  • Demonstrate use of computer programs to include but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Docs, Spread Sheets, etc.
  • Current BLS certification a Plus.
  • Current Florida CNA Certification or Home Health Aide certificate a Plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
  1. Provides clerical support to agency management and supervisory personnel.
    1. Prepares correspondence, reports, documents, and medical Plans of Care.
    2. Schedules appointments for management staff and schedules meeting rooms.
    3. Prepares updates to policies and procedures as directed.
    4. Prepares statistical reports as needed.
  2. Maintains inventory of office supplies and medical supplies.
    1. Establishes agency standards and appropriate reorder points.
    2. Monitors supply needs and assures availability of supplies needed.
    3. Prepares client charge slips as directed and forwards them to the billing department.
  3. Assists with the billing process.
    1. Assists with data entry of schedules for billing and payroll.
    2. Maintains current admission log.
    3. Enters all new clients into the computer system.
  4. Maintain client data base.
  5. Participate with and respond to incoming referrals both clients and caregivers.
  6. Assists with hiring process for direct care staff.
    1. Provides initial telephone screening for applicants and sets up interviews if appropriate
    2. Requests references on applicants.
    3. Performs orientation and training of all new clerical & direct care staff.
    4. Monitors and directs remote training as required by the company and the state.
    5. Performs Background Checks on new applicants.
    6. Maintains Employee Files and reports missing or incomplete documents.
  7. Performs job in compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as community and professional standards.
    1. Accepts responsibility in accordance with the role of the Administrative Assistant.
    2. Assures compliance with applicable laws.
    3. Attends meetings and educational programs as required.
    4. Participates in the Agency quality improvement activities.
    5. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  8. Communicates necessary information to Supervisor and management team to ensure coordination of services and activities.
    1. Attends clinical staff meetings as needed to communicate information needs
    2. Contacts clients, referral sources, families, and other disciplines as directed to assure care coordination.
    3. Assists with filing of documentation in the clinical record. Reports missing or incomplete charting.
    4. Participates and communicates with other departments to assure that tasks are accomplished.
    5. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
