Job Title: Director of Financial Strategy

Job Summary: The Director of Financial Strategy will be responsible for shaping and leading the financial strategy of the organization to drive long-term growth and financial health. This executive role involves overseeing strategic financial planning, developing and implementing financial strategies, and collaborating with senior leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the execution of the organization's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and long-term goals.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of advanced financial models to support strategic planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with senior executives and key stakeholders to identify business opportunities, assess financial risks, and recommend strategic initiatives.
  • Provide high-level analysis of financial performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to guide strategic decision-making and business planning.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Manage the financial planning process, including annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and capital allocation strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against strategic targets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to improve financial outcomes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices to ensure the organization's financial strategies are innovative and effective.
  • Oversee cross-functional projects related to financial strategy, ensuring successful execution and alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in financial strategy, corporate finance, or a related field, with at least 7-10 years in a senior management or director-level role.
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling, strategic planning, and data analysis, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful financial strategies.
  • Proficiency with financial planning software and tools (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, Excel) and data visualization techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting financial strategies and recommendations to senior executives and the board of directors.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, including experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices in financial strategy.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
