Position Overview: The Strategic Finance Associate is integral in developing and refining the long-term business and valuation models for HeartFlow. This role collaborates with leadership across various departments to identify key valuation drivers and assess their relevance to the organization’s financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and management of the long-range planning model for the company.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create and update the strategic business plan.
  • Support the Investor Relations team by generating concise analyses and communications.
  • Construct and maintain sophisticated financial models for equity and debt financing activities, analyzing capital structure and financing alternatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for capital raising and strategic financial transactions, collaborating with leadership on these initiatives.
  • Partner with the commercial team to perform scenario analyses for pricing and business models, assessing the financial implications of pricing strategies.
  • Monitor pricing trends and offer recommendations to enhance pricing and profitability.
  • Develop financial models, presentations, and data visualizations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify challenges and opportunities, providing informed recommendations.
  • Proficient in structuring logical, analytical approaches to efficiently resolve business issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with a proven ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Curiosity and strong critical thinking skills, with a desire for continuous learning.
  • Expertise in scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of various strategic initiatives.
  • Self-motivated to gain knowledge about HeartFlow and the broader industry beyond assigned tasks.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate work.
Educational Background & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Investment Banking.
  • Extensive experience with advanced Excel financial modeling and confidence in creating customizable valuation models.
  • Experience with Medical Device, BioPharma, or Healthcare Technology clients is preferred.
  • MBA or CPA/CMA credentials are advantageous.
