We are looking for a Project Support Specialist to assist and support our project managers,

operations manager, and field technicians in managing all aspects of our concurrent, multiservice

line (stage rigging, stage lighting, architainment, and audio visual) projects, across

multiple job sites. This position will be responsible for project specification support, assisting

with estimates, developing proposals, and project management functions through the

theatrical lens. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings and building

plans, and the ability to analyze and execute project specifications.

Who we are:

Associated Controls + Design is a full-service theatrical dealer and an architainment systems

integrator. We design, sell, install, and support lighting, dimming, rigging, drapery, and audiovisual

systems and related equipment. Our clients include new and existing theaters, schools,

churches, restaurants, museums and other specialized architectural environments, providing

the equipment and expertise to bring unique entertainment venues and spaces to life.


What you will do at Associated Controls + Design:

• Learn and apply Associated Controls + Design system and installation standards.

• Analyze engineering drawings, building plans, riser diagrams, etc. to determine

specifications for lighting, rigging, audio-visual, and architainment projects, including,

necessary equipment, vendor/supplier pricing, and other associated project costs to

assist project estimators in creating final proposals/bids.

• Coordinate and facilitate project equipment submittals, shipments, and schedules to

ensure timely project completion.

• Provide operations support, including order entry, invoicing, and shipment status.

• Assist team in keeping project materials organized in the warehouse.

• Support all phases of the project lifecycle as assigned/needed.


What you bring:

• Positive attitude and a work-hard, play-hard mentality.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with stage rigging and/or lighting systems; rigging and

lighting installation and architectural lighting control systems experience a plus.

• Ability to travel up to 25% required.

• Experience with project budgeting, Microsoft Office, Acrobat and/or Bluebeam,

AutoCAD, and maintaining CRM tools.

• Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and work at heights on ladders, lifts and stage grids.

• High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree in theater technology or

related field preferred.

• Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) (theater rigging or theater

lighting) certified preferred.
