Associate Account Manager

Furniture.com

About Us

Furniture.com is a high growth consumer tech start up that is addressing fundamental challenges in the $200B US furniture space. The company is a B2B and B2C digital aggregator with a simple mission: To make finding furniture easy.

For consumers, we make it easy to find the right furniture by enhancing search and streamlining the end-to-end customer experience. For retail partners, we deliver a digital platform allowing them to expand their reach with a high-intent, high value furniture audience.

Furniture.com is growing fast. Our team is comprised of furniture experts (obviously) as well as world class technologists and brand builders. We come from a variety of walks of life and can be found either in Atlanta or in NYC. We are backed by the investment arm of one of America's largest furniture retailers, although we are independent and proudly building a technology in service of the furniture industry and furniture shoppers.

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Account Manager to support the Partnerships team in working with our key furniture partners and to help them get the most out of Furntiure.com and meet their business goals. As an Associate Account Manager, you'll be collaborating on major initiatives by playing an integral role throughout the sales cycle, and an advocate for our partners by providing white glove service. You'll work with executive level business leaders within client organizations and provide excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the partnerships team on all partner related initiatives - ie: strategy, demos, integration, kickoff calls, service calls, and in-market travel - through research, deck preparation, scheduling meetings, CRM organization, note taking, event setup and follow up.
  • Project management: Support sales leadership by driving critical projects and strategic initiatives to support partner growth. Commitment to supporting team with creativity and proactivity.
  • Handle client partnerships with empathy, anticipate needs and address concerns in a timely manner.
  • Identify performance standards; measure progress and adjust performance; accordingly, develop contingency plans; and demonstrate adaptability and support continuous learning
  • Document observed issues and your own ideas to help improve customer experience.
  • Systematize best practices in the sales process and continuously improve critical workflows
  • Identify education and tooling needs for the Sales team and work with other Sales Ops team members and cross-functional partners to address
  • Identify areas of market opportunity and gaps to prioritize customer segments accordingly
  • This role has the opportunity to grow into a more senior role on the Partnerships team - in sales operations, partnerships, business development or account management - depending on your interests and skill set.

Qualifications

Domain Expertise

  • 2-3+ years of experience in client facing role in technology, management consulting, auction house, sales ops, finance or another related business operations field.
  • Strong research skills, high attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on data.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to conceptualize and implement ideas that will support brand initiatives.

Individual Skills

  • Self –starter who is eager to be proactive, flex into various tasks and responsibilities, create new and optimize existing processes around sales operations.
  • Flexible and quick learner who is able to adapt to a nimble work environment.
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong intrapersonal skills, very organized, professional, super detail-oriented and a great internal and external communicator (in-person and via email).
  • Experience in working independently, managing multiple concurrent projects and driving strategic and operational initiatives in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to evolve in a highly-dynamic environment – prioritizing initiatives, defining milestones or KPIs and driving results with ownership and adaptability

Leadership & Behaviors

  • Builds trust and collaborates with a wide range of cross-functional partners.
  • Team player and roll up your sleeves attitude. We have strong backing and leadership, however we are still a new business and small team, so everyone needs to wear many hats and have zero ego when it comes to getting the job done.
  • Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious, and provides complete follow-through on all areas of responsibility.

We do not discriminate in hiring or employment against any individual on the basis of race, color, gender, national origin, ancestry, religion, physical or mental disability, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy, citizenship, or any other factor protected by anti-discrimination laws.
