Job DescriptionJob Description

The Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for driving and managing sales in the following areas of the Lit Fiber business: multi-family residential (MDU), private communities and commercial. This will include prospecting, qualifying, developing relationships, building and managing a sales funnel, and closing new business for the company. Success will be measured by meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales performance expectations, which represents new organic growth for the company. This is a northern Ohio based position.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for directly closing sales / obtaining agreements with MDU owners, HOAs, developers and small-medium business owners, which can include working with property management companies, attorneys and others.
  • Manage proposals, prospect and client communication, and new business deal flow.
  • Own and track sales pipeline which must be updated on a regular basis. Assist in the development of a sales forecast.
  • Develop new MDU opportunities through all mediums including, but not limited to cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, meetings, local groups, presentations and any other creative angle.
  • Conduct research of the territory to identify sales opportunities.
  • Obtain easement rights for private roads or communities (with HOAs or builders) so that service can be offered to residents. Once obtained, provide communication to the customer on the status of network construction and Lit Fiber service being available to the community.
  • Utilize processes and work with the VP of Strategic Initiatives & Commercial to gain approval for each deal based on financial modeling.
  • Develop relationships with decision makers for the various verticals and guide them through our sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with other departments including engineering, project management, construction, field operations and marketing.
  • Must be proficient in Lit Fiber's customer offering and specifications.
  • Share and present information, including sales activity reporting, to the VP of Strategic Initiatives on a regular basis.
  • Conduct site surveys and evaluate best practices for installations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in drafting and negotiating service proposals.
  • Bachelor's degree or related telecom / multifamily residential industry experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and listening skills
  • Must be able to work within deadlines and provide exemplary customer service and responsiveness to clients.



  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in negotiations or difficult situations.
  • Must be business-minded, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to easily adapt to changes in processes and priorities.
  • Must have good organizational skills and problem solving abilities.
