HarmonyTech Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Project Control Specialist to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. This role is essential in supporting our project management efforts, ensuring that project tasks are completed on time, within budget, and meet their objectives. The position is based out of Northern Virginia and offers remote work options with occasional in-person meetings and team collaboration. Flexibility may be available if this position transitions to a hybrid model.

The work shall be performed at the client’s location in Northern Virginia. All candidates shall be U.S. citizens, have lawful permanent resident status, or possess a valid “green card” or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in managing workflow, monitoring tasks, and ensuring project timelines are met.
  • Coordinate internal resources and facilitate communication between clients and administrative and technical staff.
  • Assist in developing budgets and schedules in alignment with project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain management plans according to contract guidelines.
  • Coordinate and compile input from team members for various weekly reports.
  • Maintain work breakdown structures and prepare diagrams, graphs, and charts to support problem analysis.
  • Support senior staff in achieving project milestones and meeting customer requirements.
  • Oversee and report on performance and progress using analytical techniques to validate cost and performance.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS-Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience with MS-Project is preferred.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
