Project Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineering Specialist to join our team. This newly established role presents a unique opportunity for an individual eager to influence and contribute significantly to the development and execution of Non-Process Infrastructure projects, including accommodation upgrades, dining hall refurbishments, and power and communications enhancements.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Portfolio Lead to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of design, procurement, and construction phases.
- Deliver technical guidance and review scopes of work to support project objectives.
- Facilitate effective communication between engineering and construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
- Analyze scope changes and manage variations, focusing on cost, safety, quality, and scheduling implications.
- Prepare management reports detailing project progress and financial status.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational health and safety regulations throughout project activities.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Engineering.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Electrical) or a related field.
- Experience in site works and project or design engineering, with a focus on both site and office deliverables.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project progress.
- Experience in preparing tender documents and managing the tendering process.
- A background in operational and brownfields environments, particularly within Iron Ore Operations.
- Familiarity with project execution phases from concept to commissioning.
- Knowledge of project cost control procedures.
