Position: Order Fulfillment Coordinator, Mill Department (Onsite)
Position Overview: If you are a self-starter and enjoy managing your time effectively, then this position is for you. Work with the sales team and manufacturing plant to select, pack, invoice and ship customer orders.
Hours for this position are Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm.
Salary: $16.50 based on experience
Job Responsibilities:
Weekly (90%):
- Pulling stock items of small coils and lengths of wire, flat and coiled sheet, casting grain, and tubing from our inventoried product line to fill orders. Maintain the organization of orders efficiently from both inventoried stock and made to order product.
- Preparing documents such as work orders, invoices, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials to the correct internal and external customers.
- Examining all incoming materials, either made in-house or from vendors, to verify accuracy by comparing to orders, invoices, and manifests.
- Working with our manufacturing team by sending out and receiving incoming jobs from the production departments including maintaining a departmental tracking log. Tracking logs include shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for accounting and recordkeeping purposes
- Work with the order fulfillment team to make sure that all standard items are kept in stock.
- Packing, sealing, labeling, or affixing postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
- Consistently punctual - less than 3 unapproved absences in past 12 months. Tardies and/or early departures are infrequent and preapproved. Works OT and weekends as needed.
- Understands established policies and procedures by consistently adhering to them. Does not repeatedly ask policy/procedure questions that can be found in the Handbook (3x per year). Maintains high ethics. Is respectful and honest. Is caring, friendly and willing to share knowledge and expertise. Maintains adaptability and seeks new and creative solutions. Accepts responsibility for work, community, and environment. Strives for high quality in all that we do.
- Wears metal free clothing, shows badge, always clocks in/out. Knows and follows the security rules. Badge is available and visible every day, < 3 times/annually without. Understands metal flow and metal security procedures and follows established practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Monthly (10%)
- Participates in monthly inventory
Qualifications:
- REQUIRED: HS Diploma/GED
- 1 year of documented manufacturing experience preferred
- Reliable and punctual; shows up for all scheduled work shifts.
- Requires Excellent verbal and written communication abilities - essential to the position
- a solid understanding of weights and measures. IE: Ounce, grams, inches and millimeters along with ability to perform simple math equations.
Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 15 lbs.).
- Finger dexterity and both gross and fine manipulation.
- Comprehension of training forms such as Standard Operating Procedures.
- Comprehension of orders and ability to answer questions regarding orders to customers.
- Must have 20/20 distance vision with or without the use of aids such as glasses or contact lenses.
