Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Associate Marketing Manager with a strong focus on enhancing our digital shopping experience. Your role will be critical in optimizing our cart and checkout process for DQ digital properties including dq.com, dq.com/cakes, and the DQ App. 

As an Associate Marketing Manager, you will be instrumental in improving the online cart and checkout journey for our customers. The Associate Marketing Manager will be an expert in the unique user journeys involved with digital ordering, understanding the nuances and requirements inherent to each platform.  Your main goal is to create a seamless, efficient, and user-friendly experience that boosts conversions and customer satisfaction. Cart and Checkout Optimization

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, developers, and data analysts, to enhance the online cart and checkout process for dq.com, dq.com/cakes and the DQ App
  • Continuously analyze user behavior, identify pain points, and implement improvements to streamline the experience.
  • Ensure the cart and checkout process is optimized for mobile devices, recognizing the growing importance of mobile shopping in today's market.
  • Ensure that seasonal cake designs are available and appropriately categorized for online ordering.
  • Develop and execute effective strategies to increase revenue through upselling and cross-selling of products or services that align with customer needs and preferences.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer interactions and persuasively presenting complementary offerings.
  • Strong understanding of the product portfolio, customer behavior, and market trends to maximize sales opportunities and drive business growth.

User Experience Enhancements

  • Champion user-centric design principles to create an intuitive and enjoyable shopping journey.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to make data-driven decisions for improving the checkout process.
  • Maintain open communication with various teams, including marketing, IT, and customer support, to align efforts and drive a cohesive shopping experience.
  • Ensure that the cake customization interface is user-friendly and meets consumer expectations.
  • Help develop and implement personalization strategies to deliver unique ordering experiences for consumers.

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and Analysis:

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase conversion rates at the cart and checkout stages.
  • Implement A/B testing platform to drive digital sales conversion improvements.
  • Execute A/B tests, analyze results, and make data-backed recommendations to improve conversion performance.
  • Apply strategies for optimizing the user journey and maximizing conversion rates.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors' checkout processes. Identify opportunities to differentiate our digital shopping experience and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track user behavior, and generate insights for continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of proven experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in A/B testing and conversion rate optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and payment gateways.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and content management systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A customer-centric mindset and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Passion for optimizing the cart and checkout process.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Work Environment

Most positions located out of our global headquarters in Bloomington, MN will work a hybrid work schedule where you will work 2 collaboration days a week.  Additional in office time may be required to support team/project needs.  Positions will be identified as “remote eligible” when consideration will be given to candidates outside of drivable distance to our Bloomington office.
