As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving new sales through cold outreach via email and phone, and by attending industry events. You will engage potential customers, speak with local government decision-makers, and iteratively improve outreach strategies. This role offers the chance to contribute significantly to the company's growth and success, working closely with the Co-founder and CEO.


What youll be doing:

  • Conduct high-volume cold outreach via email and phone to generate new sales leads
  • Attend industry events to network and engage with potential customers
  • Engage and build relationships with local government decision-makers
  • Develop and iterate on outreach strategies to optimize results
  • Shape the business development strategy in alignment with company goals
  • Contribute to defining and enhancing the company culture


Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, outreach, project management, or relationship management
  • Proven track record of exceptional performance in roles requiring high-volume cold outreach
  • Strong alignment with the company's core values of striving, public service, exceptionalism, humility, and being direct
  • Demonstrated interest in public service or government
  • Familiarity with sales engagement and CRM software like Outreach and Salesforce
  • Evidence of extreme discipline and work ethic, with a "whatever it takes" mentality
  • Must be local to or willing to relocate to New York, NY (relocation assistance not provided)
