Operations Manager

We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our growing team here at Connsci. The Operations Manager will report to the Sr. Operations Manager and be responsible for supporting various areas of Connsci to include: General Operations, Human Resources, Contracts Management, Programs Support and Corporate Communications. This position can be performed primarily remotely, but may require occasional trips into our Gaithersburg office as needed (roughly twice a month).
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain continuous communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
- Work with the Sr. Operations Manager to ensure operations remain compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
- Review, document, and discuss operational outcomes and key measures with Sr. Operations Manger
- Create, update, and apply HR policies and company guidelines and make sure they adhere to standards and laws initiated by authorities.
- Serve as the admin for the company HRIS (iSolved)
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for a smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exception first-day experience
- Create and implement new policies/procedures and manage acknowledgment forms in system when needed.
- Send announcements to staff for any company updates, actions needed, etc. and answer/address questions or concerns.
- Serve as a resource for employees for questions or guidance.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and management skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 2 years of experience working for a federal government contractor including experience working with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is required
- At least 2 years of experience in business operations or Human Resources
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- At least 1 year of experience with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
- At least 1 year of experience with timesheet or time reporting systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Experience with iSolved HRIS
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Relevant HR Certifications preferred (PHR, SHRM)
