Utah Community Action is seeking to hire a full-time Human Resources Generalist. Come work for the Agency awarded Best of State 2024 for Best Public Preschool.

As an exempt position, the HR Generalist earns a competitive wage of $68,457.00 annually, a testament to the value we place on your skills and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, a flexible spending account (FSA), a healthcare spending account (HSA) with up to a $2,500 match, a 401(k) plan with 5% match, short and long-term disability, accident insurance, life insurance, 11 paid holidays, paid time off between Christmas and New Year's, PTO- paid time off (up to 192 hours a year), and an hour of paid time on Fridays for self-care, Tuition reimbursement (conditions apply), Potential for FCDL student loan forgiveness (UCA is an eligible employer).

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for administrating daily human resource functions within the Human Resources team, including compliance, benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • An associate degree in business or a related field is required
  • Minimum 1-3 years of progressive human resources experience required
  • Possesses strong Microsoft Office Suite competency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management degree
  • Experience in a high-volume Human Resources office
  • 2-3 years of HRIS support experience
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or other Human Resources certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

OTHER JOB DUTIES

  • Maintain employee records on Agency HRIS and benefit systems
  • Prepare and analyze payroll and benefit reports
  • Benefits Administration, including enrollment, billing, benefit presentations, and ACA compliance
  • Assist with recruiting by posting jobs, participating in job fairs, and interviewing candidates
  • Administers and tracks leaves of absence
  • Processes work-related injury claims
  • Collaborate with the HR Team, sharing knowledge, skills, and abilities in all HR subjects
  • Reconcile and prepare invoices and review them with the Human Resource Director
  • Assist with flu shot clinic and/or health fairs
  • Working knowledge of agency policies and procedures and Head Start Performance Standard requirements
