Position Summary:

The IT Systems Administrator role is critical to supporting White Bird Clinic's IT infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of essential care to clients. This position focuses on providing exceptional service to staff and expanding technical expertise in Microsoft Azure, IT automation, and cybersecurity. Responsibilities include safeguarding critical systems, implementing innovative technology solutions, and contributing to the development of the overall IT strategy. The role also involves understanding staff needs and balancing usability, cost, security, and compliance.


Position Responsibilities

Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues related to workstations, servers, networks, mobile devices, and cloud systems.

Monitor and optimize performance of server, workstation, network, and cloud systems.

Implement and manage critical technology projects, including planning, project management, and collaboration with IT staff and stakeholders.

Design, install, and maintain network and cloud infrastructure, including hardware and firewalls, in collaboration with the IT team.

Ensure system security and compliance with White Bird Clinic policies, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), and other relevant security frameworks.

Develop and manage the Office 365 environment and oversee server and cloud system backups.

Recommend and implement modern technology solutions to advance agency goals.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical systems and create instructional materials for end users.

Communicate effectively with IT project/organization stakeholders and ensure clear status updates and results dissemination.

All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting computers and servers in a Windows environment.

Knowledge and experience administering Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Office 365 using best security practices.

Technical support experience with cloud VoIP phone systems, Polycom phones, and softphone applications.

Experience building and maintaining an IP multi-site wired and wireless network utilizing firewalls, switches, access points, and VPNs using best security practices.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Experience supporting Apple iPhones.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to document workflows, generate technical reference documentation, and produce end-user instructions.

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people with differing levels of technological knowledge.

Collaborative style with the ability to work with IT staff and other White Bird Clinic programs to implement technology projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

BA or BS degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field, or equivalent certification.

Extensive experience as a Systems Administrator or in technical support.

Experience with Unifi, FortiGate, or similar enterprise networking hardware and Wi-Fi platforms.

Experience with Azure services development, deployment, and administration.

Experience administering servers in a Hyper-V failover cluster environment.

Support experience with applications such as Sage, SharePoint, Office 365, Power Automate, eClinicalWorks, and CoreLogic.

Experience with mobile device management (MDM) systems like Microsoft Intune or MaaS360.

Proficiency with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools and automating tasks using PowerShell.

Veeam backup implementation and administration.

IT support within a healthcare environment and HIPAA compliance knowledge.

Key Competencies:

Extensive knowledge of workstations, servers, networks, VoIP, mobile devices, and cloud systems, focusing on Microsoft Azure, IT automation, and cybersecurity.

Ability to plan, manage, and execute complex IT projects, ensuring adherence to security practices, timelines, and budgets.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.

Proficiency in designing, installing, and maintaining network and cloud infrastructure, including hardware and firewalls.

Capacity to take ownership of specific systems, leading maintenance, and backup efforts to ensure optimal performance.

Excellent communication skills for conveying project status, updates, and technical information to stakeholders and end users.

Effective teamwork and collaboration skills for working with IT staff and stakeholders on project implementation and system maintenance.

Capability to recommend and implement modern technology solutions that align with and advance agency goals.

Compensation Details:

This is an exempt position with target base compensation starting at $60-85K per year paid on a bi-weekly basis. This wage range is DOE (Depending on experience).
