Job Title: Certification Coordinator

Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Warehouse SupervisorClass: IndirectThe following are tasks to be performed by the Certification Coordinator. The duties are not limited to this list. Any additional requirements, changes, or deletions will be at the discretion of the Warehouse Supervisor. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility and duty satisfactorily.

SUMMARY: The Certification Coordinator is responsible for pulling, preparing and labeling daily orders. They ensure that all orders pulled, along with all necessary certification documents match the exact quantity, lot number as indicated on the pick-list, and are from the correct location, also indicated on the pick-list. Provides shipping assistance as needed. Promotes teamwork through their behavior, acting in accordance with Altek's Policies and adhering to the goals and expectations as defined by management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completes certification package for both domestic and overseas shipments
  • Receives incoming freight
  • Pulls orders and maintains data on the pick-list accurately
  • Maintains inventory accuracy for inter-warehouse transfer transactions
  • Ensures palletized freight is prepared properly and has all necessary documentation attached
  • Checks packing slips for accuracy; identifies errors and makes corrections as needed
  • Ensures all orders are picked correctly and staged in proper location
  • Conducts daily reviews, identifies and reports any pick-list discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Updates Warehouse Supervisor of daily shipping activities as needed
  • Distributes various materials received and provides routine information about the material
  • Supports shipping staff as needed
  • Picks up and delivers will call if needed
  • Assists in fulfilling shipping & receiving commitments to customers as needed
  • Builds and maintains positive rapport with other Altek employees, customers and/or suppliers
  • Exhibits positive communication and behavior skills
  • Adapts and modifies as circumstances warrant
  • Demonstrates safe work habits
  • Maintains a clean, organized work environment

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operates forklift and pallet jacks
  • Accurately uses of banding machine, shrink wrap machine and electronic scale
  • Ships packages off of the UPS/FedEx machine as needed
  • Transfers product from one location to another


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six months warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of ERP system and proficient in data entry
  • Basic mathematic skills
  • Strong planning and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, self-accountable and able to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
  • Commitment to self-development through formal and informal learning experiences
  • Forklift certified preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must not have any traffic violations dated within the past three years
