Key Responsibilities:

  1. Healthcare Oversight:
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate appointments for routine, specialty, psychiatric, and medical care.
  • Maintain electronic health records and documentation related to medications and healthcare needs.
  • Assist in the intake process for new residents, including assessments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate medication management and documentation.
  • Stay informed about residents' medications, diagnoses, and any changes in their health status.
  1. Communication and Coordination:
  • Provide updates on health and mental health matters.
  • Act as a liaison among psychiatric providers, medical professionals, families, and residential staff regarding healthcare needs.
  • Coordinate with external healthcare professionals for specialized services.
  1. Health Education:
  • Assist in training staff on healthcare protocols and medication administration.
  • Encourage preventative healthcare practices among residents and staff.
  1. Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations at the organizational, state, and federal levels.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all residents.
  • Prepare necessary reports for administration and regulatory compliance.
  1. Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the development of healthcare policies aimed at improving resident care.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid license in the relevant states. Willingness to obtain additional state licenses if necessary.

Sign-on Bonus: $5000 for LPNs and $8000 for RNs.

Certifications: BLS and First Aid Certification required.

  • Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in nursing, preferably in a residential care environment. Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings is advantageous.

Familiarity with electronic health records is preferred.

  • Skills:

Strong knowledge of psychiatric and behavioral healthcare, excellent organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to care.

Work Environment:

  • This role may require on-call evening and weekend hours.
  • Work will be conducted in a residential group home setting.
  • Physical tasks, including lifting and transferring, may be required.
