Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the estimating process as required, including participation in pre-bid meetings, conducting quantity take-offs, and soliciting sub-bids.
  • Develop and maintain both a comprehensive and short-term schedule for effective project control.
  • Provide weekly updates on installed quantities for productivity tracking.
  • Execute document control tasks (Drawing Log) by distributing relevant documents to subcontractors.
  • Compile and submit necessary submittal packages along with shop drawings for approval, followed by the maintenance of the submittal log.
  • Track and manage the status of materials.
  • Compile and update the project punch list or issues matrix.
  • Review weekly productivity reports with the Project Manager and Superintendent to identify areas for improvement and recommend adjustments as necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating sub-bid solicitations and sourcing resources such as suppliers, labor, and equipment.
  • Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in daily subcontractor and supplier coordination.
  • Ensure proper documentation for any additional work undertaken.
  • Assist the Superintendent in completing "As Built" drawings.
  • Help the Project Manager and Superintendent fulfill project closeout requirements.
  • Maintain project files and manage shop drawing processes along with assigned contract administration duties.
  • Prepare comprehensive submittal packages.
  • Contribute to financial management by drafting and issuing change orders, approving material invoices, and tracking costs related to materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Primavera is essential.
  • Experience with BIM, GradeBeam, and Bluebeam is preferred.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to follow instructions, interpret plans and specifications is necessary.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on tasks is essential.
  • Knowledge of construction and scheduling methodologies is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction sector.
