Key Responsibilities:

Healthcare Management:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
Coordinate routine, specialty, psychiatric, medical, and emergent appointments.
Maintain EHR and reports pertaining to medications, medical, dental, & optical needs.
Assist in coordinating and completing new resident intake tasks and assessments.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, and pharmacists to ensure proper ordering, supply, administration, and documentation of medications.
Maintain a current and working knowledge of the residents, including; medications, diagnosis, and behavioral or medical changes.
Coordination and Communication:
Communicate health and mental health-related information and updates
Serve as a liaison between psychiatric providers, medical professionals, families, and the residential staff regarding medical, behavioral, and medication needs.
Coordinate with external psychiatric and medical professionals for specialized care.
Health Education and Training:
Assist in training residential staff on healthcare procedures, medication administration, and medical and medication incidents.
Promote and practice preventative healthcare practices among residents and staff.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all healthcare and psychiatric practices comply with organization, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical and psychiatric records for all residents.
Prepare and submit required reports to administration and regulatory bodies as required.
Administrative Duties:
Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and professional development sessions.
Assist in the development and implementation of healthcare and psychiatric care policies and procedures that may improve the quality of care for residents.

Qualifications:

Education:

o RN or LPN will be considered for this position. Valid license in OH and MI required. Must be able and willing to get other state license, if only currently have one of the required state licenses.

Sign on Bonus $5000 LPN, & $8000 RN.

o BLS and First Aid Certification required.

Experience:

o Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a residential care setting for youth. Experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting is desirable.

o Extensive experience with medications preferable.

o Working knowledge of electronic health records.

o Experience working at a professional level in a multidisciplinary setting desirable.

Skills:

o Strong medical skills and knowledge of psychiatric and behavioral healthcare.

o Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

o Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

o Ability to work independently

o Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Work Environment:

This position may require on-call evening and weekend hours as needed.
This position involves working in a residential group home setting.
The role may require the ability to handle physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and transferring.
