Your Role

RPM is looking for the ultimate team player who creates value in any situation. As a director you provide leadership, strategic planning and build strong relationships with your team. Help develop your reps with their carriers, to help them optimize their fleet by negotiating the right price, dedicate their fleet and partnering with our customer sales team to ensure on-time delivery for the overall RPM Experience.
 

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and hold accountable all members of the vertical team by setting clear goals and objectives, delegate responsibilities, provide guidance and direction, evaluate team members, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Conduct daily huddles to discuss specific goals, daily wins & losses, carrier and customer issues, market conditions and other valuable information that assists in growing and supporting our business portfolio.
  • Train and hold your Carrier Sales team accountable to effectively communicate the current market conditions, carrier capacity trends and pricing.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and pricing teams to provide a strategic response to customer RFI, RFP and RFQs.
  • Interface with pricing, customer department, and finance to execute on current business.
  • Develop, plan & execute carrier account strategies.
  • Deep dive into Carrier performance, losses, lanes, scorecard with EOM, EOQ, EOY
  • Process improvements to improve speed, quality, systems.
  • Monthly and Quarterly goals performance goals and reviews for carrier reps
  • Monthly claims reviews with carriers
  • Network synergies and opportunities from the carrier sales side.
  • Communicate and relay pipeline opportunities to help drive development.
  • Provide clear instructions on how to sell our business with your team.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 -10+ years experience in the Logistics industry
  • Knowledge of auto hauling
  • Must excel in a team-based environment, while delivering independent results
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
  • Work full-time M-F, and willing to work outside normal business hours based on the needs of the business
  • Must be self-motivated and bring a can-do attitude to the job
