Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an enthusiastic Inspector to join our team. You will report directly to the Director of Operations. Your primary focus will be to successfully complete your assigned route within the prescribed timeframe with accuracy. 
Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed fire safety and periodic maintenance inspections in assigned area.
  • Verify smoke detectors are functioning properly, in date, clean, and in the correct location.
  • Install products such as smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and residential fire suppression systems.
  • Educate tenants on fire safety and proper use of detectors and suppression systems/products.
  • Take appropriate pictures that coincide with the inspection report.
  • Complete electronic reports with pictures that detail the findings of both the fire safety inspections and smoke detector inspections, condition of the residence, and any products installed.
  • Complete daily inventory counts of all products on the work truck to include pre-shift counts, products installed counts, and post shift counts.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of residential fire safety.
  • Basic understanding of computers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with power tools on and off ladders.
  • Ability to use mobile tools and applications.
  • Ability to operate a Truck or Van with Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
Physical Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds.
Experience:

  • Previous inspection experience preferred
