We seek applicants for a full-time Grants Administrator Monday through Friday 8:00 AM -4:30 PM. As a Grants Administrator, you will be responsible for seeking, researching, targeting, and pursuing grant opportunities appropriate to Eggleston’s capabilities. Evaluate grant opportunities for best fit given multiple project opportunities at Eggleston. Identify decision-makers for each grant opportunity. Develop and cultivate relationships with grantors, as appropriate.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities : 

  • Write grant proposals by grantor standards or requirements. 
  • Follow Eggleston Development Department guidelines to ensure a donor-centered approach to fundraising and compliance with ethical and technical standards. 
  • Administer grants, including reporting outcomes, cost updates, and filing reports as required by funders. 
  • Develop and maintain a tracking system of applications, awards, and prospective grants, to include past grants to Eggleston and future grant opportunities. 
  • Provide support as requested on federal contract proposals. 
  • Provide support as requested to the Marketing and Development team. 
  • Other duties relating to grants and proposals as occasionally directed. 

 

Qualifications:  

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of successful grant writing experience.  Demonstrated experience and success in raising major gifts from individuals.  Experience and proficiency in utilizing donor database software.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in public speaking. 

Physical Requirements: 

Free of tuberculosis in a communicable form. Must be able to lift 25 pounds, or sit for extended periods. Able to communicate orally and in writing.  Dexterity, vision, and hearing are sufficient to operate computers and other equipment. 

 

Knowledge of:  

  • Corporate Policies and Procedures  
  • Professional ethics and boundaries 
  • All marketing and public relations functional areas  
  • Shareholder interests and needs 

 

Skill in: 

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and private corporate, foundation or club grant programs. 
  • An established network of contacts with funding agency administrators. 
  • Superior writing skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate problems, solutions, and ideas. 

 

Ability to:  

  • Deliver exceptional service to donors, volunteers, grantors, and board members.  
  • Utilize critical thinking processes to facilitate decision-making. 
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships  
  • Work independently 
  • Resolve conflict and conduct contract negotiations 
  • Exercise good professional judgment 
  • Prepare reports and presentations
