[What the role is]

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore’s central bank and integrated financial regulator.

As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore’s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.

As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore – banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. It is also responsible for well-functioning financial markets, sound conduct, and investor education.

MAS also works with the financial industry to promote Singapore as a dynamic international financial centre. It facilitates the development of infrastructure, adoption of technology, and upgrading of skills in the financial industry.

[What you will be working on ]

You will be part of a team responsible for developing the financial ecosystem to support Singapore as an international financial centre. This includes the management and administration of the supported by the Financial Sector Development Fund (FSDF).

Your role will include:

  • Grant policy and management: Overseeing the conceptualisation and administration of incentive schemes under the FSDF to facilitate Singapore’s growth as an international financial centre

  • Governance, compliance and risk management: Establishing and reviewing governance policies and operating procedures, and conducting budget planning for the effective management of the FSDF’s financial resources

  • Stakeholder engagement and industry analysis: Engage relevant MAS departments and other external stakeholders (including industry players, consultants and other government agencies) to understand and analyse issues

[What we are looking for]

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or a related discipline

  • Possesses strong problem solving and reasoning skills

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Meticulous and thorough when overseeing grant incentives schemes

  • Have the ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment

  • Relevant experience in grants management/ administration is an advantage
