We are looking for a sharp Staff Accountant (Payroll), with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll on a bi-weekly and semi-monthly basis and will have experience using ADP Workforce Now.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant - Payroll will perform payroll processing and accounting duties to support both the HR and Accounting departments. They will ensure payroll is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations for salaried, hourly & daily rate employees. They will also comply with all state and federal regulations as it pertains to timekeeping, tax payments, and any garnishments or levies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of both the bi-weekly & semi-monthly payroll cycles for all business units.

· Independently review timecards, compute & reconcile wages, overtime, and other types of pay with accuracy and compliance.

· Assist in the maintenance of employee & payroll records including mapping to the General Ledger and PTO tracking and reconciliation.

· Take ownership of posting payroll to the general ledger by ensuring all costs are mapped to the correct general ledger accounts and departments.

· Assist with financial reporting and analysis projects upon request.

· Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, precision, discretion, and confidentiality.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field

· Minimum 1-3 years of experience processing payroll (ADP Workforce Now preferred).

· Minimum 1-3 years of accounting experience

· Experience working with NetSuite preferred

· Working knowledge of GAAP

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to work under pressure with rigid deadlines.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel in particular.

· Must be respectful, honest, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
