About This Opportunity
TCH is currently looking for an Aftermarket Outside Sales professional based out of our San Antonio office to call on end user accounts in the Texas territory south of Dallas to the border- may include Austin, Houston and cities west of San Antonio. This position will be responsible for meeting new and existing TCH customers, uncovering their business needs and providing solutions that TCH can meet using our portfolio of products and services. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, quality service, product and industry knowledge, and providing a superior customer experience.
This role is base salary plus commission. Our commission program does not have a ceiling; therefore, allowing employees to drive their earning potential. The program has bonuses built in for reaching different levels of performance.
Essential Job Functions
- Interface with new and existing customers to develop assigned territory by properly sourcing key decision makers
- Determine customer needs and discuss proper product and service options
- Create and present quotes for customers providing solutions that meet customer needs
- Quote follow up to achieve closure of the sale
- Convert quotes into sales orders in MBC
- Continually update customer interaction/ leads in CRM software
- Work with Key Center production team to answer questions and confirm lead times for fulfilling customer orders
- Ensure great customer service by interacting professionally, promptly and communicating effectively
- Attend internal and external training to increase product knowledge of the door and hardware industry
- Attend Aftermarket Sales meetings and other meetings as required
- Travel to job sites and / or customer locations within assigned territory
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Requirements
- Ability to travel approximately 25% overnight stays
- Intermediate knowledge of door, hardware and Master Key systems, preferred but not required
- 1-2 years of outside sales experience, preferred
- Ability to professionally communicate with all levels of an organization
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work independently
- High attention to detail
- Strong cognitive skills including problem analysis, decision making and comprehension
- Motivation and strong drive to continue pursuing soft leads
- Proficient with computer software in a Windows/ Google based environment
- Basic understanding of customer resource management (CRM) software
- Favorable results of a customer specific background check as required
- Valid Driver’s License and favorable results from company background check including Motor Vehicle Record
Working Conditions
Office environment with computer work. Travel is required, approximately 25% percent (overnights) of time. Regular site visits which may be dusty or loud and require walking on a variety of surfaces and the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
