Summary: The inventory coordinator is responsible for the efficient management and issuance of raw materials, conducting regular cycle counts, managing logistics requests, and maintaining up-to-date work order progress statuses. This role ensures that production operations run smoothly by coordinating the flow of materials and information between departments and external vendors. The ideal candidate must possess excellent computer skills and demonstrate strong time management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issuance of Raw Materials: Oversee the distribution and tracking of raw materials to ensure the production teams have the necessary supplies.

  • Cycle Counts: Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels and identify discrepancies.

  • Logistics Management: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for logistics, handling request and coordinating scheduling to ensure timely delivery and receipt of products.

  • Bill of Materials (BOM) Review: Regularly review BOMs to ensure accurate locations and tracking of products.

  • Work Order (WO) Progress: Regularly review and update the progress of work orders throughout the week to ensure timely completion and address any potential issues.

  • Communication: Act as a liaison between production, logistics, and purchasing teams to ensure all materials and information are available when needed.

  • Return Stock Items: Handle the return of stock items, ensuring that they are processed correctly and returned to the appropriate inventory locations.

  • PO Receipt: Accurately receive materials in the system upon delivery, verifying the quantity and quality against the purchase order (PO).

  • Investigate Discrepancies: Investigate inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in inventory management or a similar role.

  • Exceptional computer skills.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 2+ years experience in inventory coordination, supply chain, logistics, or production scheduling.
