This involves a comprehensive understanding of current inventory status, anticipating future stock shortages due to customer shipments, and ensuring a steady flow of incoming goods from international suppliers while adhering to inventory targets.

About Us: We are a rapidly expanding organization specializing in the development and distribution of general merchandise to leading retailers across the United States. Our clients depend on us for timely product availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and replenish warehouse stock of sellable items and essential office supplies.
  • Foster relationships with a diverse range of global suppliers to facilitate prompt deliveries and accommodate special requests.
  • Maintain an organized schedule for incoming shipments.
  • Coordinate and plan shipments with suppliers, allowing adequate lead time for their operational needs.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to stay informed on evolving customer demands and forecasts.
  • Oversee the receipt, labeling, and processing of incoming merchandise.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
  • Work with team members to minimize obsolete stock.
  • Update product specifications within the ERP system.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Experience with an ERP system is preferred. Candidates should be able to manage multiple projects efficiently and communicate effectively with both management and team members. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are essential. Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus. This role may require real-time communication with international counterparts, necessitating evening hours when Asian suppliers are operational. Strong organizational and time management skills are mandatory, along with a willingness to cross-train in other areas.
