About the Role

As our QA Engineering Lead, you'll be crucial in maintaining and improving our cutting-edge data transformation solution. You'll work directly embedded with our engineering team, which maintains our front-end application, back-end systems, CLI/API, shared modules, and testing codebase.

Core Responsibilities
  • Build and nurture a test-driven engineering culture that continuously improves quality

  • Implement scalable testing processes across multiple products

  • Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for various platforms

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout project lifecycles

  • Diagnose issues, report defects, and design regression tests to prevent recurrences

  • Collaborate with engineers and project leads to prioritize and resolve issues

  • Develop metrics to measure and monitor product performance

  • Partner with Platform and Infrastructure teams to enhance reliability and scalability through automation

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5+ years of experience leading QA strategy

  • Proficiency in debugging applications across multiple platforms

  • Experience building, shipping, and maintaining commercial software

  • Expertise in test planning, design, execution, and automation

  • Strong track record of cross-team collaboration

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in both black box and white box testing methodologies

  • Coding proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript, or equivalent languages

  • Located in Portland, Oregon or Boulder, Colorado

We primarily work with TypeScript, React, Redux, and Node.js. Our codebase is intentionally designed for efficient feature development, allowing individual engineers to own the entire development cycle from concept to implementation.

Compensation Range: $115K - $135K
