Job Summary: 

The Labor Market Data Manager will assist in the collection, management, analysis, and reporting of state and regional labor market data to support P2C products and services. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

  • Work with HR on recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.  

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.  

  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.   

  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.  

  • Handle all administrative duties related to managing staff and departmental budgets. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Provide a strategic lens in using labor market data to support career-connected learning 

  • Collect labor market data from common LMI databases. 

  • Generate data spreadsheets to be used to develop comprehensive LMI databases. 

  • Evaluate labor state and regional labor market data to determine workforce demands. 

  • Summarize findings from labor market analyses in briefs, reviews, and multi-page reports. 

  • Present to customers as needed to introduce labor market findings with a customer-centric approach.  

  • Provide basic training to staff members and clients, as needed, on the use and application of basic labor market data. 

  • Generate graphs, tables, and other data graphics to illustrate labor market trends and demands. 

  • Produce professional labor market reports that are formatted to provide professional appearance with clear and concise technical writing. 

  • Create training documents that summarize basic LMI terms and definitions, as well as common data analysis strategies. Acts as a strategic partner to the leadership team and works closely with the team to ensure they are meeting performance expectations. 

  • Uphold policies that promote company culture and vision. 

  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors. 

  • Works collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the organization and ensure excellent client service. 

  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company. 

  • Represents the Employer with clients, investors, and business partners. 

  • Travel is negligible/very rare, to participate in in-person meetings, conferences, and/or professional development activities to represent the organization. 

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
