If so, this job is for you We are seeking an inspirational and organized leader who can take ownership to ensure the overall success of daily kitchen operations and front of the house services including recruiting, training, and food preparation. The Executive Chef/ Assistant Manager/ Kitchen Manager will showcase culinary talents and artistry through the delivery of show quality food through personal involvement in tasks while developing and empowering the onsite staff. Works to continually improve patron satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance in all areas of responsibility. Will deliver on company objectives by ensuring monthly budget, food and labor costs are met and, the safe handling of food by following safety & sanitation protocols.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high standards of food quality and presentation. Manage kitchen staff schedules, training, and performance in coordination with restaurant manager. Prepare and plate meals, as needed.
Inventory & Waste Control: Maintain inventory levels, works closely with restaurant manager to place orders for ingredients and supplies, and ensure proper storage. Monitor food waste and implement strategies to minimize waste and control expenses.
Food Safety & Sanitation: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, above and beyond sanitation guidelines.
Collaboration: Works closely with the manager to align kitchen operations with overall restaurant goals. Participates in planning and executing special events and promotions.
Schedule: Expected to work on average 40-60 hours per week and must be present during most service hours of operation. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Guests: Check in with each table during service to build relationships and gain direct feedback on guest experiences. Address and resolve any issues that arise during service. Help front of house with scheduling reservations by answering the phone and returning calls left in the voicemail and emails.
Meetings: Lead daily pre-shift meetings with both back- and front-of-house.
Coordination: Ensure seamless communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain service efficiency.

Requirements
Three (3) or more years Culinary Experience in the hospitality industry
Associate’s degree in culinary or similar field
1+ years of experience in the culinary field in lead or managerial position
Strong organization and time management skills
Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and/or employees
Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards
Excellent culinary skills, including knife skills, plating artistry, and experience with various cooking techniques
Experience with Caribbean cuisine preferred, but not required
Willingness to go through background checks, including criminal and drug testing
