The Inside Sales Specialist (ISS) will provide professional sales support and service to clients who we have been unable to reach through direct sales representatives. These Health Care Providers (HCP) are located in territories referred to as “white space”. The role of the ISS is to establish an ongoing relationship with these prescribers and re-establish our client's brands within their practice, with the goal of rebuilding utilization among their patients and growing prescriptions with the practice.

This position can be based anywhere in the contiguous United States PST and CST highly preferred.

 

Training program entails:

  • Procedures and systems for 2 weeks and then product training which is 4-6 weeks.
  • Phone training - selling skills.
  • 3 month grace period for training.
  • Extensive compliance training

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for making outbound sales calls to a select list of HCP Targets across the US, as provided by the Commercial Team and Establish self as primary brand contact for the organization

  • Maintain communication with HCPs and their support staff to ensure they are up to date on product information and Patient Support Programs

  • Deliver follow-up email and/or fax following each telephonic communication with HCP/prescriber

  • Achieve sales targets

  • Maintain database of contacts, sales calls, and related conversations in Veeva (Customer Relations Database)

  • Facilitate orders of Patient Support Materials on as needed basis for all products

  • Detail products according to FDA-approved product label, address product questions, facilitate medical information requests as appropriate

  • Conduct Virtual Lunch-and-Learn (LNL) sessions with major HCP targets

  • May attend Local and National Tradeshows as required

  • Manage business expenses via Concur

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Inside sales, telesales, contact center, customer service, pharmaceutical or healthcare experience preferred

  • Pharmaceutical Sales experience is preferred, preferably in the Gastroenterology disease state, or 3-5 years of business-to-business sales

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited college or university required

  • Ability to travel if requested

  • Self-motivated and results oriented with performance accountability

  • Self-study, training, and testing are required; eligibility to proceed through training and selling certifications are dependent upon passing required exams

  • Strong planning and prioritization skills

  • Proven ability to examine business environment, interpret territory analytics and team insights to assess business opportunities and drive sales results

  • Ability to learn, apply, and grow disease state knowledge is required

  • Strong and effective presentation and communication skills across multiple channels (phone, fax, email, and virtual engagement platforms)

  • Experience in building long-term relationships, and establishing value

  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft office proficient and experience entering info into Veeva

  • Ability to learn quickly and process high call volume

  • Strong work ethic, do what it takes to get the job done approach, while maintaining high business ethical standards

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to variability among HCP office processes and procedures to gain prescriber access

  • Ability to work effectively remotely
