What you will do
We are looking for an Accounting Specialist for an online invitation company offering professionally designed, on-trend digital invitations and greeting cards.
- Record and reconcile cash transactions in NetSuite (AP & AR) on a weekly basis.
- Process weekly payments in the bank (ACH & wires).
- Assist in updating historical cash details in the cash forecast file.
- Enter bills into the NetSuite accounting system.
- Import credit card transactions into NetSuite and record the proper GL account on a weekly basis.
- Ensure all recurring bills are entered into NetSuite.
- Maintain client Gmail inbox.
- Enter customer payments in NetSuite and match them to correct invoices.
- Prepare for month-end by reviewing the GL during the last week of the month.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Handle month-end close accruals.
- Create customer invoices at month-end close.
- Prepare AR & AP reconciliations.
- Prepare and file monthly/quarterly state sales tax.
- Reconcile state sales tax data.
- Assist with various ad hoc finance/accounting tasks as needed.
We are seeking individuals who possess:
- At least 2 years of working experience in AP and AR roles.
- Thorough knowledge of current applicable accounting standards.
- High attention to detail and a strong customer service orientation.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written English skills.
- Proficiency in NetSuite, Microsoft Excel, and other MS Office applications.
