The Accounting Specialist will support client's team by managing the day-to-day record-keeping responsibilities for its investment funds. The Accounting Specialist will play an integral role in analyzing transactions, preparing schedules, and reconciling the activities of the firm’s growing portfolio. This individual will play an important role in building this best-in-class function and supporting business decision making.


What you'll do:

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supplementary schedules.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of client's Portfolio Operations technology platform.
  • Support the accounting and reporting processes, including quarter-end close, internal/external reporting and overall maintenance of the company’s accounting records.
  • Booking journal entries and logging supporting documentation.
  • Assist with compliance, including audits and other filings.
  • Ad-hoc requests and projects.

We're looking for individuals with:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting Major or equivalent accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting (public or private).
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Superior organizational, process management and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office products and expert level skills in Excel.
  • Experience working with general ledger-based ERP systems.
  • Advanced time management skills to handle multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
