Job DescriptionJob Description

A nonprofit is seeking ​an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team You will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our international nonprofit, as well as performing secretarial work.

*This position can be completed on a work-from-home basis however only accept local candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Written reports to the Board of Directors
  • Payment of bills (online or with checks)
  • International wire transfers
  • Recording of donations
  • Providing information to accountants for audit purposes
  • Pick up mail from Palm Beach post office box
  • Work closely with the Co-chairs & Treasurer remotely
  • Perform secretarial duties, such as mailing fundraising material and event invitations, tracking responses, etc.
  • Type and mail acknowledgment letters to donors monthly (template to be provided)
  • Take minutes at Board of Director's meetings via Zoom and distribute to Board

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of bookkeeping work experience
  • Experience working with an accountant on an audit
  • Proficient in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Strong writing skills for minutes, emails, and other compositions
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
