Small insurance defense law firm in Palm Beach seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant. Local candidates only. Must have law firm billing experience.

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payables
  • Accounts receivables
  • Bank deposits
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Semi-monthly payroll submission
  • Opening Files in Mycase billing software
  • Reviewing and editing time entries in MyCase billing software
  • LEDES formatted invoice submissions
  • PDF invoicing to clients
  • 1099 filings
  • Providing documents and reports to the Accountant

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Assist Managing Partner with insurance (health, malpractice, property) renewals and various administrative tasks
  • Main point of contact with IT vendor
  • Liaison with landlord

Experience Required

  • Must have law firm bookkeeping/billing experience
  • Proficient with Quickbooks Online
  • Experience with LEDES formatting, submission of invoices to multiple 3rd-party vendors and knowledge of submitting appeals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience with legal billing software programs
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to work accurately
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Highest level of integrity and discretion in working with sensitive and confidential data
  • Strong numerical proficiency and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
