Job Summary.
This role provides professional administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department. Activities include producing documents, collecting, recording, sorting and filing information, handling mail, preparing routine reports, arranging appointments, responding to inquiries, data entry, and operating office equipment. Also includes responsibilities for reception/telephone and greeting visitors.

Responsibilities.
Provides a variety of administrative and staff support services for the organization. Assists team with copying, filing, communications, internet research requests, etc. Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties, which may include word processing, organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, processing incoming mail, answering phones, maintaining reports and other pertinent data. May assist in preparation of records regarding operations, personnel changes, etc. May assist with developing various reports to be viewed and utilized at multiple levels of management. Must have the ability to maintain confidential information. May assist in administering various programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the Human Resources department. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities, and operations. May process invoices and expense reports for payment. May run errands to places such as the Post Office to mail items. May assist other employees. Performs other support duties as assigned.

Education.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in human resources preferred.

Experience.
0-3 years of professional administrative support experience in a professional environment.

Professional Skills.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Able to write correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Can add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Able to maintain a file system to include alphabetical, numerical, and chronological filing activities. Deal with problems involving several discrete variables in standardized situations. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with knowledge on tables, formatting, formulas, clipart/ graphics, presentations, project tracking, etc. Excellent word-processing skills (50 - 60 wpm) and business writing ability, plus accurate and precise proofreading skills. Strong organization, analytical, attention to detail and follow up skills. Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently and capable of working with little direct supervision. Will communicate with all levels (Presidents, Executive Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Directors of Sysco and other staff levels). Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Provide enthusiasm and creativity in problem-solving along with flexibility and a desire to learn. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion concerning confidential and sensitive information.

Physical Demands.
