Job Title: Administrative Services Center Receptionist/Campus Coordinator

Credentials: None required for this position

Education: High school diploma or GED

Training or experience required: 5 years of successful employment as a receptionist or administrative assistant, school district experience preferred but not required.

Site: Administrative Services Center

Reports to: Executive Assistant to the Superintendent

Contract: 260 days

Salary Schedule: Secretary 1

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

The receptionist is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for visitors, staff, and the community. The receptionist serves as the first point of contact and is the first impression of the district. This role involves upholding safety protocols and workplace standards, maintaining confidentiality, calmly managing challenging phone calls and guests with professionalism and providing administrative support across departments. Strong communication skills, collaboration, initiative, attention to detail, and a commitment to contributing to the smooth functioning of the district are essential qualities for this position.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Greet visitors warmly and professionally, directing them to the appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Answer incoming calls, providing accurate information or directing calls to the appropriate contacts.
  • Sort and distribute mail and sign for packages and deliveries.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, including room setups and audio/visual arrangements.
  • Handle inquiries and requests promptly and courteously, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborate with custodial staff to ensure meeting spaces are prepared according to requirements.
  • Uphold safety protocols and workplace standards to ensure the well-being of staff and visitors.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and exercise discretion in handling inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed, contributing to the smooth functioning of the district.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
